Black people are also targeted with lies meant to confuse us, divide us, and convince us that voting does not matter. That misinformation protects the people already in power.

This collection was created to fight that.

Your life is not only on the presidential ballot. Your life is on every ballot.

Every office has power. Every level of government touches your daily life. The people elected into office decide schools, housing, policing, courts, public safety, healthcare access, voting access, public services, business funding, transportation, wages, and community resources.

This is why LOCAL ELECTIONS matter. County elections matter. State elections matter. Judicial elections matter. School board elections matter. Congressional elections matter. The White House matters too, but it is not the only place where power lives.

For Black America, this is not theory. This is history. Laws decided where we could live. Laws decided where we could go to school. Laws decided whether we could vote. Laws decided how we were policed. Laws decided how courts treated us. Laws decided how resources were given, denied, or stolen.

And laws are still shaping our lives today.

When we do not know what these offices do, we are easier to ignore. When we know, organize, vote in massive numbers, and hold leaders accountable, we become harder to control.

This is a reminder that voting is not just about politics. It is about protection. It is about resources. It is about safety. It is about rights. It is about justice. It is about the quality of life our communities deserve. It is about Black Civic Power.
