America’s wealth was generated through the exploitation of African people and their labor, the appropriation of land and resources, the extraction of knowledge, and systems that diverted wealth from Africa and its descendants.
This history was not only economic; it was also frequently rewritten, minimized, or omitted.
For generations, the resulting wealth and power were celebrated, while the contributions of African people, knowledge, labor, culture, and resources received far less attention.
Acknowledging this reality is not about focusing on past injustices, but about understanding the ongoing relevance of Pan-Africanism.
By recognizing Africa’s contributions, what was taken, and what was denied to its descendants, our path forward becomes clearer:
We must reconnect, organize, take ownership, circulate resources, build, and create power across Africa and the Diaspora.

Erasure Was Integral to the Power Structure
Globally, people were encouraged to admire the empire, while learning far less about the African people and their descendants whose bodies, intellect, culture, labor, and resistance contributed to its wealth and power.
This silence had significant consequences.
When those who contributed to the creation of wealth are excluded from the narrative, their contributions are more easily denied, their descendants more readily marginalized, and the resulting systems appear self-generated.
Our History Will Not Be Rewritten
We know who we are.
Now we build
from that truth.
Civilizational memory restores what history has omitted. It affirms that Africa and its descendants are central to the global narrative. Our labor built economies, our knowledge shaped civilizations, our culture transformed the world, and our resistance advanced freedom.
An honest account of history clarifies what was lost, what endured, and what remains within us.
Healing begins with truth.
Our future does not depend on others recognizing our value, restoring our history, or granting us permission to progress.
Pan-Africanism gives us direction.
We reconnect Africa and the Diaspora, safeguard and share our knowledge, strengthen ownership, businesses, and institutions, organize for political power, and intentionally circulate resources to build for future generations.
Truth helps us understand the past.
