This policy governs the use of video and embedded media by vendors on the OWN Marketplace platform. Its purpose is to protect platform integrity, ensure accuracy, and clarify responsibility for third-party content.

2. VENDOR RESPONSIBILITY

Vendors are solely responsible for all video and media content they upload, link to, or embed within:

  • Product listings
  • Vendor pages
  • Store descriptions
  • Blog or content areas (where applicable)

OWN Marketplace does not verify, endorse, or assume responsibility for vendor-supplied media unless explicitly stated.

3. OWNED VS THIRD-PARTY CONTENT

A. Vendor-Owned Content (Preferred)

Vendors are encouraged to use:

  • Videos they created themselves
  • Videos they legally own
  • Videos hosted on their official brand channels

This content may be embedded on product pages and vendor profiles.

B. Third-Party Videos (Limited Use)

Vendors may embed third-party videos only if:

  • The video is legally embeddable via the platform (e.g., YouTube embed)
  • The video is clearly identified as third-party content
  • The vendor has the right to reference or embed the content

Embedding does not imply endorsement by OWN Marketplace.

4. PROHIBITED USES

Vendors may not:

  • Re-upload videos created by others as their own
  • Embed videos that:
    • Contains misinformation or unverified historical claims
    • Promote hate, discrimination, or violence
    • Misrepresent facts, affiliations, or endorsements
  • Embed videos that imply:
    • Platform endorsement
    • Official partnerships
    • Historical or factual authority without verification

5. PRODUCT PAGE STANDARDS

Because product pages are commercial in nature:

  • Videos must directly relate to the vendor’s product or brand
  • Vendors should avoid using third-party videos as primary explanations or authority
  • OWN Marketplace reserves the right to remove videos that:
    • Mislead customers
    • Create legal or reputational risk
    • Conflict with platform values

6. PLATFORM DISCLAIMER

OWN Marketplace:

  • Does not control third-party video content
  • Is not responsible for changes, deletions, ads, or claims made within embedded media
  • Does not endorse vendor videos unless explicitly stated

All opinions, claims, and representations belong to the vendor.

7. ENFORCEMENT

Violation of this policy may result in:

  • Removal of embedded media
  • Temporary suspension of listings
  • Vendor account review or termination for repeated violations

OWN Marketplace reserves final discretion.

8. UPDATES

This policy may be updated to reflect:

  • Legal requirements
  • Platform growth
  • Community standards

Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updates.
